The course presenter : Andy Keil
Andy started his own Roadmarking company in 1981, having spent 6 years as an officer in the SAAF. Starting with only one staff member, he developed the business successfully and in the process, created training programs for his staff that grew to over 90 employees. His technical knowledge allowed him to develop and create all of his own designed equipment that allowed the company to take on huge projects of specialised requirements, like painting the original markings at Saint Helena island airport, Lanseria and O.R.Thambo airports, as well as huge Sanral roadways, car parks and municipal roadways.
Training of his and customer’s staff has always been a huge priority and the methods and techniques he has developed have been honed over 40 years of experience in the industry. Passing this knowledge and experience on is a project that he thoroughly enjoys.
The course programme will include
Copies of printed Handbook of all marking dimensions will be given to all trainees.
Roadmarking department applicators and painting team leaders/foremen will all benefit, as the process from setting-out, application and accountability are covered. By understanding the process, more effective markings will benefit the municipality and result in more positive perceptions from the public.
